The Brighton Guitar Quartet was formed in 2016 to develop the unique sound and energy of the classical guitar ensemble.
The BGQ explores a range of music spanning continents and centuries, often featuring new music by local composers, and our unique arrangements.

Upcoming Live Performances
The BGQ regularly performs live at venues around Brighton and across Sussex. Dates for the 2025 concert season currently include:
- 2nd March 2025: We will take part in the Guitar programme at Springboard - the Brighton & Hove Performing Arts Festival, adjudicated by Gerard Cousins.
- 14th March 2025 at 3:30pm: The BGQ will have a short set at the Hove Library as part of their Live Lounge programme.
- 24th May 2025: we will be back at St Laurence, Falmer for an afternoon concert —exact time TBC
- 17th June 2025: Back by popular demand — we will be back at Christ Church, Worthing for a lunchtime concert
