The Brighton Guitar Quartet was formed in 2016 to develop the unique sound and energy of the classical guitar ensemble.
The BGQ explores a range of music spanning continents and centuries, often featuring new music by local composers, and our unique arrangements.
We regularly perform live at venues around Brighton and across Sussex: our very first concert in 2019 was at the Regency Town House in Hove,
and we have recently had the pleasure to play at Chapel Royal, Brighton.
The Brighton Guitar Quartet are: Ruairi Gann, James Hartt, Simon Hopkins and Olivier Thereaux.

Our 2025 concert season came to a close with a wonderful concert on 22nd November at St Margaret's Church, Rottingdean. We will be back from March 2026 for the new concert season!
